The Final SARAe Conference took place on November 9, 2010, in Lisbon.

This Final Conference, at the Inspira Santa Marta Hotel, in Lisbon, conjoined 75 attendants, from the public and private sector, both acting on the environmental liability field.

 

The conference main objective was the presentation of the SARAe project results, obtained throughout the two-years of project development. The conference also debated the state of application of the national environmental liability diploma (Decreto-Lei nº 147/2008, de 29 de Julho), based on the perspective of the invited speakers representing the main stakeholders on this environmental liability field. The debate was preceded by the key-note speaker presentation - Josh Lipton, who provide an analysis of the environmental liability regimes, focusing the United States experience, the translation to the environmental liability directive and the transition for the member states namely to the national diploma.

 

SARAe project is approved by the System of Incentives for Research and Technological Development (SI I&DT) of the National Strategic Reference Framework (QREN), co-funded by European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) through the Operational Program Competitiveness Factors (POFC).
