The Final SARAe Conference took place on November 9, 2010, at the Inspira Santa Marta Hotel, in Lisbon. 

This event was attended by around 75 participants, mostly belonging to companies with occupational activities covered by ELD and their industrial associations, as well as participants from the financial sector, namely insurers.

The conference main objective was the presentation of the SARAe project results, obtained throughout the two-years of project development. The conference also debated the state of application of the national environmental liability diploma (Decreto-Lei n.º 147/2008, de 29 de Julho), based on the perspective of the invited speakers representing the main stakeholders on this environmental liability field.

The debate was preceded by the key-note speaker presentation - Josh Lipton, who provide an analysis of the environmental liability regimes, focusing the United States experience, the translation to the environmental liability directive and the transition for the member states namely to the national diploma.
